With the New Year comes New Updates to Our Cottages

With it being a new year, it is a great time to recap all of the new updates to our site. 2021 was an exciting year at Elk Ridge and we made several changes that we are excited for our visitors to see. Here at Elk Ridge Cottages we offer luxury cabins and cottages in North Carolina, for the perfect home away from home getaway in the mountains. Whether you’re taking a trip with some friends, celebrating a honeymoon, or taking your annual family vacation, no matter what the reason for your trip we want our site to help make your vacation special and memorable. Let’s take a look at the updates we made last year.

Beauty and the Barn

Pictured above is one of our most popular vacation homes, The Barn on Elk Ridge in Blowing Rock. The Barn is a mountain-top haven with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, which makes it ideal for a large group or a big family. One of the additions that we made was adding a split rail and wire fenced-in area, as can be seen in the photo, to ensure that your pets are safe and secure. Pets are often left out of family vacation plans, but at Elk Ridge we want you to feel comfortable bringing them with you so that they can enjoy the beauty of Blowing Rock too!

Additionally, landscaping has been started on the property. So far we have added evergreens, hydrangeas, and fruit trees. Last but certainly not least, we added a brand new wood burning fire pit for the viewing deck. This cozy addition allows you to stay warm while enjoying the scenic views year-round.

Overall Improvements to Elk Ridge

In addition to the Barn, our other cabins and cottages got improvements as well. We added blacktop for the driveway around the barn, up to the Elkhorn and Ridgecrest cottages, allowing for a smooth and safe drive in and out of the property as you come and go. We added a wood shed for all of the cottages, equipped with complimentary firewood for our guests.

Security for Our Guests

The safety of our guests is very important to us, so we have upgraded our security as well! A soon-to-be completed community gate is being added, which will have pass codes for our guests. While you stay with us, you can rest easy knowing that only our guests can drive in and out of the driveways of our vacation homes.

High Speed WiFi

We personally installed Fast speed fiber optic WIFI for all properties to ensure that those guests who want to stay on the grid can do so, and also to make working from home possible! It will hardly feel like work if you are at one of our vacation homes enjoying the North Carolina scenery.

Pictured above is our favorite mascot Elk, a new addition who will watch over his ridge and all of the guests that come to visit Elk Ridge.

Pictured above is a high end stainless steel Wilmington grill! We have added one to all of the properties so you can enjoy freshly grilled food right at your home away from home.
