My husband and I currently live just outside of Blowing Rock. We love the mountains and love to hike, ride motorcycles and just enjoy the view. We want to introduce other people to this wonderful place. I am an interior designer by trade and have worked in the building industry and the furniture industry for years. It comes natural to me to create beautiful spaces for people to live. We specialize in luxury accommodations with great attention to cleaning, going above and beyond to be sure you are comfortable and have everything you need to enjoy this luxurious home. If you need extra services just ask. Firewood is complementary. Entry is keyless.
Blowing Rock and the mountains of North Carolina have a special place in my heart. It is an intensely spiritual place and being of Native American heritage, I find that I am at peace here. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I have lived in North Carolina all my life but I didn’t move here until 2001. It took me that long to get to Gods country!
I love coming into this home with its amazing views! The world just slows down when I am relaxing on the decks or in front of the fireplace. It is a quiet place even though it is close to town. We have added extra insulation in all the walls so that you don’t hear the hustle and bustle of the outside world. We named this place Elkstone because the original home that was here had special Elkstone rock fireplaces in it. Elkstone is a native rock to this area and you can still see remnants of this stone in the old outside fire pit and in the old stone wall in front of the house. We used this as inspiration when we selected lamps, art work etc. We found an old antique antler chandelier from a castle in Germany that is gracing the entryway. We also found a special lighting sconce from the Mayview Manor which was an old grand hotel that used to be in Blowing Rock. We have tried to stay true to the traditions and history of Blowing Rock.
